Most of the time when we burn something in the kitchen, its an obvious accident that brings about a loud, ”Oh no!” and is most likely followed by a ruined dinner party. But not the French. When a dish of theirs stays over fire for too long they call it ”Cajun,” and if its a confection, ”French Burnt Peanuts.” You see, France produces people of precision. Even their accidents are full of purpose and flavor. Thats why these prickly-looking, fiery red ovals taste the way they do: sweet, crunchy, and nutty, just the way they intended them to–sort of. Perfect for red themed events or moments when you need to realize that accidents can actually be a good thing, break out your five-pound bag of French Burnt Peanuts Candy and enjoy.
